Michael Schumacher, has a new 'hobby' - motorcycle racing.
The seven times F1 world champion is busy racking up heaps of experience on WSB machinery.
After testing earlier in the year at Magny-Cours in France, where he was about 5 seconds off the pace, he was recently seen testing at Portimao in Portugal, after the final round in the 2008 WSB Series.
Schumacher had a go on Nori Haga's & Troy Corser's 2008 Factory R1's, and then he hopped on board, Bayliss's Ducati 1098 F08. He also did a few laps on his German Holtzhauer Racing Honda. There is talk that he will contest the German Superbike Championship in 2009.
Honda's European team boss commented that they are ready to offer Schumacher a ride in the superbike world championship (WSB) next year, although Michael has said that he thinks the German championship is right for him next year.
What is interesting is the timing of the WSB event, which was held over the same weekend as the Brazilian round of the F1 championship. So maybe F1 is too boring... but we already knew that.
