Troy Bayliss made his first public appearance over the weekend since retiring from WSB racing. Bayliss was signing autographs and chatting to fans at the Gold Coast Motorcycle Expo in Australia. The event ran for three days from 20-22 February.

When we asked him about the future, he said that he was planning to race V8 Supercars in Australia with the first tests scheduled for May 2009. The official team is due to be announced sometime in March.

However Bayliss was quick to point out that he is still involved with Ducati, and will be acting as a test rider for both WSB and MotoGP bikes. Bayliss is also contractually bound to support and promote Ducati around the world.
